Giving Tuesday – December 1st 2020

It’s almost Giving Tuesday, and time for YOU an OIO/IPFAC alumni, to show your support.

This year we are challenging our alumni to donate $5. (Of course, we encourage you to give as much as you can- but $5 is within everyone’s budget) Would you give up a coffee to help young artists achieve their dreams? How about a glass of wine? A couple of online rentals? Can you find $5 to help keep that OIO experience that you value so much, alive for the next generation of opera artists?

As a special incentive, our General Director, Nancy Preis, will match your donation, up to $1,000. Double your money – double the impact for Opera in the Ozarks!

Just $5 from each of our thousands of OIO/IPFAC Alumni can keep that dream alive for so many. Won’t you please do your part?

GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

For 70 years, Opera In The Ozarks and Inspiration Point Fine Arts Colony has been dedicated to inspiring and instructing young artists to develop their talents and maybe more importantly their character, through opera performance. In that time, hundreds of alumni have gone on to impact the opera world, and their individual communities in extraordinary ways, changing people’s lives forever.

But we can’t change the world without your help.

Giving Tuesday is a great way of expressing the gratitude we feel for organizations that are making a difference in our communities. Opera In the Ozarks is proud of the work we have done and committed to the continued experience of opera as a way of enriching our communities. Won’t you please help support that important work? Together, we can be the change.
