Artistic Director Thomas Cockrell will hear applicants for the 2012 program in live auditions beginning early December. Auditions will be held in select cities December 8-16 (MO, OK, KS, TX, FL, GA) and January (NYC, Chicago, Boston, more). See the Auditions page under Artists for updates.

Opera in the Ozarks at Inspiration Point will feature three audience favorites:
- Puccini’s La Boheme
- Mozart’s Die Zauberflote (sung in German with English dialogue)
- Sondheim’s A Little Night Music.
A traveling Studio Artists production, TBA, will round out the season.
A Taste of Opera and Art and Opera, fast becoming OIO traditions, will return in 2012.
