Master Classes

Masterclasses and Workshops

Each season a number of masterclasses and workshops by guest artist teachers are offered at Opera in the Ozarks.

The 2011 season featured:

  • A stage makeup workshop with Kansas City artist, Allison Hanks prepared everyone for their performances with tricks of the trade and other practical advice.
  • An intensive one-day workshop in stage combat with fight choreographer Erick Wolfe.  See video excerpts from the workshop and a scene showing how Little Women‘s  Jo and Meg March might really want to settle their sibling rivalry.
  • July 5-6 vocal masterclass with University of Missouri, Kansas City professor Rebecca Sherburn
  • July 9, 11 vocal masterclass with University of North Texas professor Linda Di Fiore
